Summery 2004
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good: for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever"
Psalm 136:1
We want to thank the Lord for the amazing year we had. We can say that it all came together in this year. The vision the Lord gave us almost 5 years ago and the house that we bought for the family and the ministry. It all became a reality. This year was a time of establishing a new organization and laying the foundation.
In February 2004 Abundant Life (chaim Beshefa) became an official organization.
In July 2004 we moved in to the house for the family and the ministry.
A Party after the circumcision:
We were so privileged to have a party in ourur house for Daniel. Daniel is a baby that was saved from abortion through the work in our office 2 years ago. He was born with physical problems in his heart and blood. At the age of two he had his circumcision in the hospital and later we celebrated together. We all sensed the blessing of God on Daniel, his older sister, and his mother. It was a special time to see how God can save life, and can heal and restore. What a good father we have. A father to the fatherless.
Two months later the first woman came to the shelter:
Ruti came to us only two months after we entered our new home. When she phoned me, she had just found out that she was pregnant. She was already 18 weeks along. When her boyfriend found out about her pregnancy, he pressured her to have an abortion. Her parents also demanded that she have the abortion Ruti was carrying twins. Her father told her that it does not matter to him even if she had five babies; she still has to have an abortion. We took her in to our home. During the first two weeks, we were dealing with Ruti’s heavy depression. I must admit that it was a very intense time for me (Anat), counseling her during the days and sometimes even during the nights. After many talks we started to see a change in Ruti. She discovered that she is able to cut her relationship with her boyfriend, which really encouraged her. Ruti returned to her former job and was happily received. After a month she left us, and went to stay with her girlfriend.
Our prayer for her was that the Lord would soften her parents’ hearts. To our great surprise and joy Ruti appeared in our home with her father. She was happy to tell us that there had been reconciliation between her and her parents. THANK YOU LORD! She is now living with them. She is due to have her precious babies in the middle of March.
I (Anat) continue with the Post Abortion Syndrome healing seminar for women who need healing because they have had abortions and suffer from the consequences. This seminar is a tremendous tool for the Lord to bring healing and restoration in this women's life.
Seven babies were saved from abortion. Here are some of the testimonies of these babies:
Shila's story
At the age of 18, Shila became pregnant. She had lots of pressure to have an abortion. Much of this pressure came from her boyfriend's parents who did not like her at all. The boy friend did not know what to do. In his heart he loved Shila, but his parent's voices became stronger. Shila found herself miserable and lonely. Her father and family would not support her in giving birth to a child outside of marriage. After counseling through the hot line, I had the chance to talk to the boyfriend. We tried to sort out all the emotions and the confusion. He, in fact, only needed somebody to help him be strong and to follow the voice of his heart. He did love Shila and two months later Nir and Shila got married. On the 27th of December Liel was born. She was born 1.920 k.g and was put in the incubator. Her weight went down to 1.650. Liel was born strong and started to pick up weight. Yesterday we went to visit the new parents in their home. Liel is two kilos and so sweet. We had a wonderful visit with them.
Galia right from the beginning of her pregnancy heard from the doctors that something was wrong with her baby. They told her that he will be Down syndrome. To her relief, the amniotic fluid test showed that every thing was fine. The doctors would not stop; they told her that there were parts of the baby's body that were not developing well. Since Galia is Ishai's niece we were in close contact with her. There had been many conversations encouraging her to keep the baby and not to abort. It would even be possible to give the baby for adoption and yet to keep him alive. We also have seen through years of experience that the doctors made mistakes and many women aborted healthy babies. To our joy Galia gave birth to a healthy baby boy,
Single mothers have already come to get clothes for their babies and also clothes for themselves. It is a blessing to see their happy faces and their excitement.
New pamphlets were printed this year, pamphlets that represent the ministry, and the other for the outreaches.
We were invited to share about Sanctity of Life and Shedding of innocent blood from the word of God, in different places this year. Ishai also went to Holland for two and a half weeks, to share about the work and the message of Shedding of innocent blood that the Lord gave him. Each place had been a real blessing!!!
In one place "
We thank God for raising people in different places that are committed to pray for Abundant Life and us as a family. Thank you all.
The 24 hot line is a telephone line that women who are in pregnancy crisis can phone day and night. As I do follow me, I can answer the calls from every where I go.
This year Anat started to study a 3 years, once a week counseling course, in order to help her more with the women she counsels. I can already see how God is using this studding as I counsel women over the phone.
As we end 2004, we are looking a head to 2005 with prayers and hope for the New Year to come:
1. We need volunteers for outreaches, and for the shelter when we have a woman comes to stay here with us, also volunteers with the house and the kids when needed.
2. More advertising for the hot line number in newspapers and internet.
3. More opportunities to share about sanctity of life and the consequences of shading of innocent blood (abortion)
"That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee" Deut. 19:10
4. We pray that the Lord will enable us to complete all the work that has to be done inside, and outside the house.
5. We also know that God has His ways of doing new things and we want to give 2005 into His faithful hands to guide it all and be the head of this ministry.
Love to you and thank you all for your prayers and support.
From,
